We have all witnessed the end of 2012 a few days ago and I’m guessing most of us now are already returning to our usual routines after that wonderful holiday (hello 8:30-6:15 work!) but allow me to do a little rewind as I have some umm, left-overs from last year.

As you may or may not know, I ended my 2012 with a short little trip. While pictures from the trip itself (pictures I have yet to sort and edit) require another blog entry, let me give you a glimpse of the dinner my boyfriend, his cousins and I had one cold Baguio December.

We found (yes, found – we got lost looking for this place, either because google maps wasn’t giving us proper directions or the signage is too unnoticeable to be seen) a quaint restaurant at 23 Chuntug Street, Baguio. It goes by the name Cafe by the Ruins and I personally think it lives up to it. How come? Look..

It’s a cozy restaurant with a wonderful Filipino interior. I couldn’t help but feel I was in a converted-into-a-restaurant-church-ruins but I guess that is the whole point really. Their Filipino dishes are equally nice but that came from someone who naturally prefer Filipino cuisine over anything (yes, I am a sucker for bagoong, itlog na maalat and the like). It was just the right place to semi-end the day after a busy tourist-y afternoon. The menu can be a bit on the pricey side (averaging from 250php-300php) but I think you’ll seldom get it cheap nowadays with an ambiance like that anyways. Over-all it was a good experience.

How do you like the photos? My boyfriend took them for you. He was so “into photography” during the trip. I am glad, I think I trained my very own photographer. I’m kidding (or not haha).
