Retirement homes are almost non-existent in the Philippines. I guess the concept of letting our old relatives live in some kind of facility seems to be a bit disrespectful as far as our culture is concerned. However, these homes are very well-accepted in other countries. They are popular with older people downsizing into smaller homes but with community facilities, amenities and on-call medical care.

A “Retirement City” in NZ is being developed and some visualizations are needed! Again, this one’s a DeeDee Studio collab. The development is composed of three-storey apartments and some single detached houses.

The interiors below are for the 2-BR apartments above. I was happy to be given freedom with the design of the interiors but was specifically instructed to not make it too modern. I went for a comfortable atmosphere with a lot of wood finishes and cozy furniture and furnishings.What do you think?
