One of the things I DON’T look forward to at the start of every year is my birthday. I don’t want to sound emo but now that I am in my early twenties, I want to be forever stuck in the moment – or for bit longer, at least. So many things to do so little time. I feel one of the few perfect times to start building a name for myself and doing the things that make me happy is today and today seems to be gone as quickly as I can get things done. BUT I know, I know – Live the moment. Life is not a race. I’ll get there when I get there. *Repeat to self.

To celebrate life, my good friend Daryl Refuerzo (He has a website! Check it out!) and I continued tradition and created a new photo set for my TWENTY THIRD BIRTHDAY.

We want to do something different every year and being the creative genus that he is, Daryl envisions art in his photographs. Pa-cute is so three years ago, he said. You should get over it, he added. So set against a depressed area (the bank of a polluted body of water) with a few red roses plus a bit of acting (?), we present Beauty in Misery. <– Lol. Joke! I made that up just now. This isn’t as deep as I made it sound. HAHA.
